Tsion B. Michael is an advocate for social justice, human rights, and immigration reform. With a background in business, behavioral science, and labor and employment law, she brings a comprehensive perspective to the critical issues facing vulnerable populations around the world.
Driven by her own immigration journey, she co-founded Arise & Shine Global Foundation alongside her father, whose courageous sacrifice for the Eritrean liberation movement set her story in motion. The Foundation empowers displaced and underserved communities through housing, education, resources, and advocacy.
She has built a 20-year career in finance and human resources leadership across more than 40 countries. She has led advocacy campaigns for policy reform, worked with international organizations, NGOs, and government bodies, and speaks at conferences and forums on equity for underserved communities, refugee advocacy, employment justice, and well-being.
