Tsion B. MichaelThe Unprecedented Future
For years she built a version of herself the world found easier to accept. This talk is about the moment she stopped, and the journey back to the identity that was hers all along.
Built for approval, safety, or survival. It looks like success outside and feels like exile inside.
Aligned with purpose, not permission. The only version of you that can build an unprecedented future.
“There is a superpower in every wound that did not destroy you.”
This independent TEDx talk was given at a TEDx event operated under license from TED.
Every one of us is living inside an identity. The question is whether it's ours.
The talk draws a line between the self we inherit or perform for approval, and the self that was ours before the world got a vote.
The performance
Living the version of herself that was easiest for everyone else to accept.
The reckoning
The moment a rented identity stopped being enough, and the cost of staying became higher than the cost of changing.
The return
Choosing, deliberately, the self she was always meant to become.
